DirectConnect to UCF Checklist

To stay on track for DirectConnect to UCF, you should:

Be an A.A. or articulated A.S. degree-seeking state college student at one of the DirectConnect to UCF partner institutions
Sign up as early as possible for DirectConnect to UCF
Once you sign up, we will connect with you and schedule an appointment with your Academic Success Coach. Your coach will be with you every step of the way–through application, admission, registration, and graduation from UCF.

View major course sequence outlines you should complete in order to earn your associates degree (A.A.) and be “major ready” when you transfer to UCF.
Meet with your current academic advisor
Meet with your current state college academic advisor to establish your goals and future intentions.
Don’t wait to take ENC 1101/ENC 1102 and two college level math classes.
Apply for graduation by your state college deadline
Complete and submit your state college graduation application by their application deadline.
Even if you do not plan to participate in commencement activities, you must apply to graduate to have your AA/AS posted on your transcript or for the degree to be awarded.
Meet with your Academic Success Coach
Your Success Coach will get to know you, your situation, academic and career goals, your selected major, what motivates you, and what barriers you feel are ahead. In addition, your Success Coach will recommend the best time to apply to UCF based on your intentions and goals.
Apply to UCF at 45 earned credits
When you are ready, apply online with an easy streamlined application. Review steps of the UCF application at https://www.ucf.edu/admissions/undergraduate/apply/. Pay the non-refundable application fee. Fee must be paid with a credit or debit card. Submit Official documents:

  • Transcripts from all colleges attended (electronic or mail)
  • High school transcripts (if applicable)*
  • Official AICE, CLEP, IB, AP and TOEFL/IELTS score, if applicable
Applications for admission can be submitted up to one year prior to the start of the term desired.
Application Deadlines: Fall July 1 | Spring November 1 | Summer March 1

Please Note

If the actual documents listed above or additional documentation is required, you will receive a communication from undergraduate admissions that details additional requirements and it will be listed on the Application Status page of your Future Knight Portal.

High school transcripts may be required to demonstrate completion of the foreign language admission requirement.

High school transcripts are not required for transfers with an awarded A.A. degree from a Florida public state college or university if initially entered the state college or university Fall 2014-15 or after.

If you attended any international educational institutions, official course-by-course evaluation is required from Josef Silny & Associates or World Education Services for all international post-secondary (college or university coursework, if applicable).
